Introduction
Greetings, I am the H2O Professor. I currently hold a grade 5 Distribution Certification and a grade 2 Treatment Certification. Also, I have a Backflow Preventer Specialist Certification, as well as a Backflow Preventer Testers Certification.
In my many years in the water industry, I have taken countless math courses and classes to help pass the Distribution and Treatment exams, more often than not I was left more confused at the end of the class than when I arrived. Whether the class moved along too fast and I couldn't keep up, or the calculation procedures were so complicated I felt like I would never understand. I knew there had to be a better way.
After failing the Treatment 2 exam multiple times, while trying to memorize dozens of equations and attempting countless pie charts and tables. I realized that the answers to most of the math problems was given to me at the test, the Math Conversion Sheet. I just didn’t know how to use it. I was able to help my co-workers pass their exams with this simple method that I want to show you!
I have included the PDF for the California Math Conversion Sheet on the Home Screen for you to download, and print to help you navigate through the math problems I will be showing you. Please send me your states Math Conversion Sheet, so we can learn together. If your state doesn't provide a Math Conversion Sheet, then you can learn the procedures I have developed for this tutorial.
Today, I want to sharpen your math skills to help you with the Distribution and Treatment Certification tests. I will show you simple and effective methods to answer the math problems. Now, The Math Conversion Sheet does not have all the answers to all the problems. This program is not a hack or short-cut. I do not guarantee you will pass your Distribution or Treatment tests. Persistence, repetition and studying of multiple resources over time will be your greatest benefit.
You have the tools to do the math. So let’s learn how to use them.
